2012 NerdCon Tabletop Games

This is the player preregistration signup for the NerdCon tabletop games!  Sessions will run in the Tabletop Room (Wiseman's Lounge) during two time slots: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  

Preregistration signup ends Friday, April 20 at 5:00 pm! The number of spaces available in each game are limited, so player registration is first-come, first-served.  Please only sign up for games if you know you can attend.

There will be signups at NerdCon itself for walk-ins and newcomers from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, also located in the Tabletop Room.  Each game has two extra slots available for walk-ins.  On a related note, dice will be sold by Plan 9 in the Vendor Room.

DnD 3.5 (Ageper)
DM: Shay Cichocki
Time: 4 hours

Worack Ouska, leader of Ageper, has gone missing. In this who-dun-it players will attempt to unravel the plot behind her disappearance.

DeathWish part 1, GURPS 4th Edition
DM: Zachary Joyner
Time: 4 hours

The PCs are group of super hero investigators for hire that become involved in an investigation of a series of thefts surrounding a pair of heavy metal bands.

Player Experience: Any
Focus: Role Playing/Investigation

Space 1889 Red Sands Incan Incursion
DM: Ryan Wisse
Time: 2-3 hours

Since Thomas Edison first explored the worlds with the help of his marvelous ether propeller, the British Empire has grown to include the red plains and stately canals of Mars, the steaming, dinosaur-infested swamps of Venus, even a remote outpost in the twilight zone of Mercury. In 1889, the sun truly never sets on the British Empire.

This game is run in the Savage Worlds system, all skill levels welcome! Pre-made characters will be provided.

This scenario will see players facing one of our most terrible modern horrors, so horrible, most dare not speak it's name. Dark forests hold dark secrets...

3.0 DND, basic d20 fantasy setting, players will need a moderate level of experience, but new players always welcome.

Gurps
DM: Chris Rice
Time: 4 hours

Conan the barbarian Based in Celtic setting. Swords of iron mix with Pagan mysticism, Cultist clash with barbarians and Nameless monstrosity.

Based in the GURPS system.

Deadlands Reloaded
DM: Ben Allred
Time: 4 hours

Deadlands takes place in an alternate history version of the wild west, where the civil war is still ongoing and has been fueled by steampunk-esque technology, nightmarish creatures walk the lands of the west, and a magical awakening has occurred allowing wizards, priests, and martial artists to gain new, powerful abilities. This mission will take place in the lands of the Indians, where a powwow has been called for the sacred ritual of the Sun Dance. But things do awry as bodies are found near the camp.

No experience is necessary to play. This session will be played using the Savage Worlds rule system.

DnD 3.5 (Rothagh)
DM: Shay Cichocki
Time: 4 hours

Something seems amiss in the town of Rothagh, but as of late towns folk have seen many strange things happening at night. It will be up to the players to uncover the mysteries and bring Rothagh back to normal.

I am running a DnD session for people who have never played or have played once or twice but would like some diversity. I will premake characters and provide dice/information.

DeathWish part 2, GURPS 4th Edition

Directly following the events of Deathwish Part 1. The villains have been discovered, now it's up to you to assault their compound!

Into the Furnace, a custom, fantasy setting for Savage Worlds
DM: Calvin Thompson
Time: 3-4 hours

The legendary relic known as the Hand of Gods, a gauntlet that grants its wielder immeasurable power, has fallen into the hands of the ruthless Gronman Empire. If it remains in the empire's custody for much longer, it could mean a messy end for all of Gronma's many enemies. Characters play members of the elusive and enigmatic Nacarajite revolutionary group, and have sworn to recover this powerful relic at all costs from the bloody hands of the infamous Imperial Inquisition. Using a combination of forgery, disguise, assassination, a generous heap of explosives, and even a little necromancy, the Nacarajite revolutionaries will infiltrate the Imperial Inquisition's main office, and attempt to bring the relic back.

Pregenerated characters are provided, and no experience is necessary. The Savage Worlds system is used, and is one of the simpler tabletop systems currently in wide use.
